In Firefox, is there a way to set a Permanent Default folder for
where the new bookmarks will go ? ... Netscape has a way to do
it, but I can't figure out how (if it is possible at all)

I like to use a default folder as sometimes I don't know what
folder I want to put the bookmark into.

Thanks

I think bookmarks will always go in the "Bookmarks" main folder by default.

You could simply add a separator at the bottom of your bookmarks, all new bookmarks will then by default go below this separator. Not quite what you wanted, but similar.

I didn't see any specific options for setting default folders. You may want to look for an extension for bookmark management.

I know that is how they go by default .. I like to put my bookmarks that I am
not sure how to categorize into a special temp folder, then I move them after
I decide where to put them .. in some cases, if I am certain, I put it directly in
the correct folder

Like I said, I don't think it's possible to put new bookmarks anywhere else than the main Bookmarks by default.

So I guess it's two extra clicks for every new bookmark then. :t
