ARRRGHH! I bought 32MB of PC66 RAM from chad174. He was selling it on this message board. He's already got this money but now he's deleted his e-mail address and hasn't sent the RAM. I have all the e-mails he sent, and his address, I'm out $40. WHAT CAN I DO?

my email hasn't been deleted either, you emailed me yesterday asking me to ship out the ram cuz you just sent the money order, which you also said last saturday, making me think that you never had any intentions of sending out the money...ill notify everyone here in this post when i get the money.

Well, Chad, instead of getting all mad about it, just send his money order back when it get's to you. Then let him go buy 32M....hahahaha, I think $40 won't quite buy it!

Check the thread in User-to-User. It appears that the M.O. is on the way and everything is cool. Seems many bad things can happen when we jump to conclusions. :-/

I have gotten stuff several times from techies and it takes bout two weeks becasue the mail has to ge to them and then they ahve to wait for the check to clear - then they have to send the package - may take a couple of days as well. RE the ram I would love to get some 4 meg 30 pin simms but have not yet found any at a fair price.

All he said was he hadnt heard from you, and couldnt get in touch with you. he didnt call you a liar or use profanity like you did. Maybe its the first time he's bought something online, we all realize at some point there is some risk ( as well as patience) involved. Just everyone chill...and besides if its a money order, isnt there someway to cancel it? i think both of you need a big glass of warm milk.

thanks chipbgt, but everything's cool now. Go to the User Biz to Biz section. We just had some big misunderstandings on both our parts. However, we both managed to come out clean. Apologies and mistakes were made, and maybe we've both learned something from this.
