This may have been asked before and if so, I apologize for missing it. I've noticed with 98SE after the normal boot sequence appears to be complete, the cursor again indicates activity for a brief period.
Does anyone know what program causes this and exactly what it might be doing? It's making me paranoid. /forum/wink.gif

OC,

Just hit "ctrl+alt+del" once and it will bring up a window that will show what processes are running on your system. you probably have a "TSR" that is starting up once your into windows.

There are more tasks running than what shows in Ctrl-Alt-Del.

You have to go to Start/Programs /Accessories/System Tools/System Information and open Software Environment, then Running Tasks.

(I sure would like a 'Run' shortcut command for that.)
