My desktop is cluttered with essential shortcuts so much so that when I want to save a page for later viewing without saving it to my favorites, I don't have anywhere to put it.
What is the best or at least a good desktop manager or toolbar applicaton, that will allow me to get better organized??

you could make folders on your desktop, and group things inside them - this will clear up a lot of space, yet keep things easily accessable....

If you are using windows 98, 2000 or millenium, or you have installed all the options for IE 4.0/5.0 and have the shortcut bar next to your start bar, put them there. Thats where I have many of my shortcuts. I also have folders on my desktop for programs i dotn use as often. I ALSO have created folder int eh start menu (right below windows update) of programs that I use often, and I have shortcuts to my frequently used control panel applets.

I like a little program called PowerBar.
It's non intrusive and very configurable.

Like soopastar sugested if you have active destop installed from IE4.0 then you can create a toolbar shortcut list of your desktop on the other 3 sides of your screen and it will clean up the desktop icons alot. You can click and drag (adding and deleteing is easy) the icons into each toolbar according to whatever catagory you selected for it.
