I installed a 8.4GB hdd as a slave to a 2.1GB
hdd. Using Western Digital's E-Z drive program, I configured the installed drive to mirror the configuration of the master. The master was partitoned as two partitions c and d. After the E-Z drive set the slave drive as
two partitions, d: and f: Here is the problem I want to configure the two drives as one total c: drive. How do I reconfigure the system to accomplish this.

As you can have but one boot (C) drive, I should think you cannot accomplish your endeavour using the method you tried. I think you would have to empty your new HD and configure it as your boot drive (C), or two partitions, etc., (C, D). Of course you would want/need to confifgure the new HD while your other drive was disconnected.
Afterwards, reconnect your old drive. It will still be a "bootable" drive, but I believe the drive letters will follow whatever is your actual boot drive, i.e., E, F, etc., depending of course on number of partitions. You could only boot from it (probably) by reconfiguring your cmos, if it has the necessary option. I have two "bootable" drives in my box, but only one boots at a time.
Good luck!

Do you want to set up both drives and all 4 partitions into one C: drive? If that is what you are asking, I haven't found a utility that will allow that. It's all really cosmetic though. Does anyone kno if this is possible?
fdisk cannot do that if you're using Microsoft s/w. Reason is that there has to be Master boot record on EACH drive. fdisk will create partitions but only one the same drive. Logical Drive or Partition- think, no matter which way it's done you'll end up with
drive letters.

Why would you want to append all that space ??
