amd-350 win98 looping problems-help!!!!

since i put the amd chip in i cannot
do a warm reset,the bios goes in to a loop.
The only way the system will boot is if i do
a complete shutdown.
AMD have a patch but it only works in win95
Can someone please help me.

Did you upgrade from different cpu, same board? If so compare the voltage settings for the two chips. newer chips operate at lower voltages. .2 volts will freak out your cpu. I just had the same type of problem. It just wouldn't load the OS. Bios was about the only place it would go.
