Sounds like windows as usual. I've noticed this to, I think windows just does some cache cleanup every now and then just like a server will. I wouldn't worry to much until it actually causes problems. /forum/smile.gif

Checked for Findfast in start menu per member DRDEATH... removed it. Watching system monitor.. CPU runs at 1% then jumps up to 100% while nothing is being used. What sort of program running in the background would suddenly start doing this?? Or something else? No new hardware installed, no viri. System is P-233 260+ram 16 gigs about 8 full??? SysOpt.com
