Hello:
Wondering if anyone can help me; my dvd rom cannot access any media anymore...but the funny thing is, My Computer will still recognize any dvd put in....eg. Matrix dvd, or Mary dvd, or Aliens dvd, etc. but will freeze if I try to play it...and it won't play audio cd's either...
I've tried to run a benchmark on the drive, but I get the above error message. So, it's recognizing the disk, but can't access it, and I can't figure it out...
Also, to isolate the problem, I turned the pc off, and put in a known working cd rom drive; it worked, slow access, but it worked...
So, I'm thinking the dvd drive is busted, and I'll have to take it back to the store, or maybe some sort of drivers for the dvd drive have been inadvertently misplaced. Anyone with advice would be greatly appreciated...Thanks all...
