Is there anyway to fix this problem or would getting a new mobo be the only option?

If you've done the process of elimination and know that there's nothing coming into play like a bent pin on the cable plug then you've pretty-much narrowed it down to a motherboard problem.

Bottom line is if all the hardware plays except when you put that video card in that motherboard then the mobo is probably bad. I'm not sure what else you're expecting from us.

You never answered the question in the other thread about what are your system specs?

We can't help you if you keep making us guess what kind of system you have.

Oh okay, sorry about that.

Well the system specs for the problematic computer is:
Atlon Xp 2600+
Sapphire 9800 Pro
Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro2
Samsung 512MB DDR400
Maxtron 400W PSU

If the system is still under warranty then replace the system board.

If it is out of warranty then replace the system board.

Simple, huh?

The mobo isn't under warranty anymore so I guess I'm gonna need to get a new mobo.

Any suggestions on a good but inexpensive socket A mobo?
