Pinch the ends together on the back of the card and then just lift the heatsink off.

so what's the point of this thread?
they don't intend for you to remove the heatsink in the first place.
the zalman vf700 is a good replacement, but you'll have to keep/get a HSI heatsink for the AGP version.
Main purpose of the thread was how to properly remove the pins lol. So maybe I'll buy a cheaper card and overclock it, thinknig about a 6200 but not 100% sure if I should even bother.
The pins seemed pretty hard to bend cause they were so small ?? I tried using pliers and in that case the pliers slipped and I musta scratched a tiny chip part on the board. Or other than that maybe I didn't "GROUND" myself properly ?
If the vid. card was fried from static shock the monitor wouldn't power on during boot right? (orange light instead of green). I removed the card and attached the monitor to the different attacher thing (on the MOBO) and my monitor worked.
I was actually suppose to go to my supplier today and buy the VF700 Cu. Well screw that now. :(
