Where is my DVD rom????

ok so yeha i never use my dvd rom that much and i baught a new game thats a DVD game Battlefield 2 bought it in because well my DVD has power open "my computor and ..... no dvd drive .... i was wondering why an install screen didnt appear what do i do!?

went to device manager to find a code 22 and that it has been disabled i tryed to enable it and it wouldnt let me ... any idea what to do next

check the bios and see if it is recognized there. if you see it there, then check the device manager to see if there are any problems. you might also try reinstalling or updating your chipset drivers.

ah **** i just scanned the devices and now it dosnt even show in my device manager

did you install easy cd creator or another cd/dvd related software recently? you can try doing a system restore to a point before you installed the SW.

i actually got a cd burner a while back and i havent tryed my DVD till then i dont think but that was a long time ago
