Hi
I just posted this question in operating systems when realized it should be here...sorry
I just purchased a new BE6 with award bios 4.51 pg PIII-450 using NT workstation 4.0 sp4
Everything works great, the NIC to the NT serve network, ata-66 drive, cd-rom, etc, except
the new actiontec 56K ISA advantage modem cannot be detected.
When run IE4.01 and dial, get error msg-> Cannot detect modem,,,,etc
I have tried everything, downloaded new drivers from actiontec and re-installed RAS and modem
to no avail.
Modem installed on com2, so I tried setting IRQ to legacy isa
I installed pnpisa.sys from NT4 cd-rom
....no luck
Is the highpoint controller causing a problem with modem.
I installed hpt366.sys from them to allow NT4 install
to see the fireball 9.1 ultra ata-66 drive
Is there something in the bios that i can set so that
modem is detected ?
