I'm trying to install a new 13gig hard drive in my cousins computer and I have tried everything that I know to try and get it running I've tried using a cloning program, fresh install, copying hd to hd throgh dos and I can't get it to run more than 30min. before BSD or locking up or rebooting. What could be causing this?

Specs.

AMD K-6 233
ati video
64 meg sdram
soundblaster awe32
win 98

Any help would be highly appreciated.

thanks,

If your only running a 233, your bios maybe out of date to support that big a drive, check for an update. Also, are you using the EZ-Drive software that came with the drive?

I'm using an older WD ez-drive program to format it but it want use the full amount so I tried a newer version of maxblast which will format the whole hd as 1 partition.
