Counter Strike: Condition Zero ..anybody have this and play it??

I was going over the action shooter games at Amazon as I sometimes do to see what is out and whats up and came across this game..that is another add-on for the HL franchise and the reviews were excellent from those who have it and it has single and muti-player with it.

Seems like a good pick up for ten bucks.

What do you think?? I have seen the maps and graphics are good. Some have said they like it more than CSS in alot of ways..as teamplay matters more and the single player action has bots that are well programmed...ect...

i remember that when I got the original HL ..I then obtained CS later and this game was another one for gamers to add to the fray.;)

everybody in my 1.6 clan has it, me too but we dont play it anymore!

its not bad . . . the graphics are better but there isnt much difference and the bots arent that great too, tell them some commands and they get confused and do nothing
i dont like bots with aimbot anyway

it is better than css (i hate css....) but its not better than 1.6
most people i know who bought it played it for 2 weeks (like me and my clan/just for fun) and then we stopped

wudnt spend money on the game, if u like the "older" cs play 1.6 an not CZ

My buddies and I used to play that before Counter-Strike: Source came out as Condition Zero had official bots.

If CS:S had not come out that is what I would primarily be playing.

I do hear what you are all saying.

I have the original Counter Strike and never really played it. I might just get the 1.6 upgrade and try it out.

Can also see why some might not like CSS. it becomes more a matter of the STAT thing than playing for the win or teamworkand thats too bad.
It always seems difficult when playing online games for others to follow or listen to whats going on. When playing CSS I find myself acting out a leader alot sometimes..because there are so many who just run and shoot and do not think. I can always sift out the enemy ..even if I get killed. most who play the game..just worry about thier stats all the time and it is very distracting.
That being said.. I myself like CSS alot. My view was not like that at first..but the graphics that Valve use and the game engine are superb. Best in thier class. It has also helped mattters that I found a server I like alot and I am one of the top scorers. The others who play there are mixed ..but quite a few are really good...so it boosts my ego to know I have become good at this.

It was never really much of an essential purchase back when it first came out, even less so now with the birth of CSS

I really started playing CS:CZ when I pre-installed CS:S and CS:S was not out yet. What was out was CS and CS:CZ. Since most of the geniuses online are not about teamwork, my buddies and I played CZ because of the bots.

$59.99 got me every game Valve every made with the purchase of Steam client so CZ eventually fell to the wayside.

Since CS:S has bots, that is all I play. Bots are the solution to not having to play with morons online, and instead play with friends cooperatively. The only stat we keep track of is who can blind a bot and go in for the knife kill, otherwise it's teamwork all the way.

God..do I feel silly. it has taken me this long to finally realize what this Bot thing is all about. ( sometimes for such as smart person as myself..I am a wee bit slow ).

After playing it last night and having a real good night stat wise.it FINALLY dawned on me. I always though before that BOTS was a added feature for players to use and impose in the game. in reality, they are not real players. What a concept. your response above explained it even further and now I know. Alot of players complain about them in the game ..but I don't carre one way or the other...everybody dies sooner or later just the same.

Can't wait for Valve to release thier new Day Of Defeat addon game. That should be good.

Again I got aobut four hours sleep as CSS is so addicting when things go well. Another seven or more hours wasted. :eek:
