how do you uninstall directx?

I installed dx7, now none of my 3d games work, so I want to get rid of it and reinstall directx 6.1a, which I cant find. Where could I find 6.1a? I think Microsoft took it down...

normally no you can't uninstall DX# but there is a program you can download that will take it out in safe mode then just reboot and install whatever version you want to again seems to work ok last time was from

Thanks /forum/smile.gif I downloaded the program, but I had to goto work, so I didnt have time to run it. When I got back and fired up my computer, everything worked again. Since installing DX7 was the most recent change I'd made, I just assumed that it must be DX7 causing the problem. One of those things, I guess.
