I have a 3.2 Gig harddrive running Windows 95, and have had no problems at all.
I now want to install a second hard drive also 3.2 Gig, and install Windows 98 with Office 2000. Is this a good idea, or am I causing myself problems?
Any other suggestions will be most welcome.

Why would you cause problems? Put the new one in, partition\format and install Windows. Set up the other drive as a slave. It should work fine.
if you want a duel os environment this isn't the best way to go about it. Also why would you want a win 95 and a win 98 os on the same machine. Usually dual os systems have two very different operating sys. Like NT and win9x.

I did not realize you wanted a dual boot system. I could be wrong on this, but if you install win98 into a different directory like win98, it may work. Make life easy and just get something like partition magic. Also if c: is the active partition, it would be useless to have 98 installed on D: as It would not boot up. Of coarse, I could be completely wrong.

Fishboy is on the right track, Win98 will not boot up. I run 2 hard drives (last two systems and this new one)But I am not going back to win95. The main windows whichever one you want needs to be on the c drive. Not a good idea to have both win95/98 on the same system.I am running a 4.6 and 8.4 (13 gb) Win98 handles hard drive over 2.01 gig better than win95. Win95 you have to partition a hd over 2.1, do you really want to do this?
