My fault for not remembering this. I believe the answer is the CDRW should be able to read a cdr disk. Correct me if im wrong. Thanks Bleeding Edge 09-24-1999, 10:05 AM Yes it can. With the appropriate soft, it will even write to blank portions of a CD-R media in multiple sessions, til' the CD-R is filled or "closed". fishboy 09-24-1999, 10:10 AM My burner came with Nero, but it does not seem to work to well. Any other software you can recommend? Maby Easy CD Creator by Adaptec? socalgal 09-24-1999, 11:28 AM Hi fishboy, I have a Creative CDRW 6424. I haven't been able to fully delve into the Nero software yet and it's taken RTM and some trial and error. I've been able to burn a multi-session CD, so at least that part works. Haven't had the time to try much else. Not very impressed with Nero. The Adaptec Easy CD software currently supports Creative's 2000, 4210, RW4224E. cdr.adaptec.com/cgi-bin/cdrmain.cgi (http://cdr.adaptec.com/cgi-bin/cdrmain.cgi) I'm open to using an easier software solution and will post it when/if I find. [This message has been edited by socalgal (edited 09-24-99).] Bleeding Edge 09-24-1999, 04:40 PM The easiest soft solution is Adapetec's Easy CD Creator. Ver. 4.0 is the latest. Although Adaptec doesn't reference both of your CD-writers, it may still be supported. Call Creative and find out. You'll want additional soft to compliment Adaptec's Easy CD, such as GoldenHawk Technologies' CDRWIN (or NERO) for CDs that are difficult to backup. You may also want a MP3 Encoder software to encode cd-audio as MP3s. This way you can burn 150 songs onto a CD at CD quality. fishboy 09-24-1999, 05:02 PM I am going to try to format one of the CDR disks (Verbatim) that came with the drive. I have a generic Compusa CDR disk that I cant seem to format. Hopefully this will work since I cant get a CDRW disk to work in my machines. I installed the UDF drivers from adaptec with very limited success. Also one of the cdrw's that I burned (drag and drop) is showing up as an audio cd when I put it into my Goldstar 32X cd. The adventure begins. SysOpt.com
