Unsurprising, the Nvidia GPU in the PS3 costs about $300-$400 each, Sony has to cut costs somewhere.

Too bad. I was actually hoping that the PS3 was going to be my next system... but now I have to buy extra memory cards for the thing too. I'm not sure that I can afford that as well. :p

one of the main reasons why MS trashed them, I honestly think thats going to be there downfall, MS lost on the Xbox because of the high price Nvidia was charging for the GPU.

According to rumours, MS is also going to be losing on the 360 - to the tune of around $75 per unit.

The games are where the real money lies I guess, they just need to sell as many consoles as possible. Those 360s look mighty purdy...
