Loss of Power

Whenever the external power is loss while the computer is on, the bios is reset to default setting. Ex: If I disable Com 1 in the bios and then power is lost while the computer is on, then it goes back to factory setting. The computer is o.k. when shutdown properly. I have a Asus P2B with Win 98.

You should consider getting an Uninteruptable Power Supply (UPS). That would be one way to solve that problem.
