I thought this forum was here to help people, not judge them?
The thread "Wireless Router w/no software install" was summarily closed for no good reason.
How do you know what the situation is for this person? Just give them the help they need, and get off the high horse.

They could just re-phrase it to sound a different way, and re-post it anyway, so why not try and guide them a bit better, instead of sounding all high and mighty?

You're joking, right?

Maybe you should, ummm, I don’t know…. talk to your admin. Oh wait, like five people already said that.

No, I'm not joking.
Perhaps you have missed my point:

They can find the info easily in many places, so acting like you know better than they do, will achieve nothing.
It is better to simply answer the question, and try to guide them to "do the right thing".

The fact is, unless you know everything about their situation, they may in fact have a perfectly valid reason for doing what they are doing. I know it "doesn't sound like it" in this case, but I think forums are for helping, not judging.

Ok, let me “rephrase” the original post in different wording for you.

My neighbor has a wireless network but it’s secure. How can I use a router to get on his network when I don’t have access?

To answer your initial question, no. There is no router that will just allow you to hop on a secure network.

So you agree, people should simply be helped with their questions, without judging them?

So now I get to close this thread as well.

Goodbye alanp36. We do not help people get access to networks that do not belong to them nor do they have permission to use.
