Question 1: how many controller ports does the new xbox system have? the old xbox had 4 ports which made it great for multiplayer....it looks like 360 may only have 2....not too sure.

Question 2: is the 360 going to be backwards compatible with previous xbox games?

I've read a few articles about the new xbox 360 but do not recall coming across these items...maybe i just missed it....could anyone shed any light on these issues?

Thanks in advance

1: 0 controller ports. It has 4 built in IR recievers for up to 4 wireless controllers. There are 3 USB ports which can be used for a wired controller, or to recharge wireless controllers.

2: Some Xbox games will be able to run. More than likely the top selling titles and the titles released in 2004 and beyond. Much like the PS2 had trouble with early PS1 games, the xbox probably would as well. I say if you own an xbox and want to play xbox 1 games and buy a 360, go ahead and keep the xbox 1 around for those games.

Yes. I know the PS3 is going wireless. More so than the Xbox 360 is. Supposedly, it's going to support 7 wireless controllers (kind of an odd number) and it's going to have 6 USB ports. Sony isn't letting Microsoft win this round.
