New Motherboard/Safe Mode Start Up Only

I just put in a new moterboard and AMD K6 2 450. When i turn it on, the first message I get is memory Test Fail, I hit F1 to continue and it only lets me start up in Safe Mode. I started in Safe Mode then restarted. It started okay and detected all the new hardware then I restarted. It would only let me use safe mode. So I went into system devices and notcied lots of duplictaes. So I restarted again and was told Windows error, must restart. I did and got only into safe mode.

Should I remove all the old devices from the System and let it redetect everything?

Please advise.
