Well, it happened people. The cooling caught up with it and I'm kinda P.Oed.

Since it is summer and it usually gets to be about 80 to 90 degrees farenheit (pretty warm), my room usually gets to about 85 farenheit during the day. Well, since this happens, my worst fears (well almost worst fears) have been realized. I'm running the 67.xx version of the forceware driver and it's running fine.

However, the problem is if I start playing games during the day, guess what? It starts artifacting like crazy. I'm not talking on just one game either. I'm talking about ALL OF THEM!!! The sucker is overheating, and it's making me very uncomfortable. The only way to fix the problem is to open the case to get more air flow.

BTW, I have a Thermaltake 90mm fan in the back pulling about 52CFM of air through my system. Air flow is not a problem.

So I want to hear from you guys on what I should do. Throw me your suggestions. Thanks!

your ambient temp is pretty high, so air flow isn't as effective.

you can upgrade your stock cooling with an NV silencer, zalman VF700 (alcu or cu) or a Jetart/Vantec cooler.

I personally think the vf700s are solid. I've heard of some problems with the NV5 fitting properly with the different heights of ram.

Get some AC or water cool. Cooling with warm air just isn't going to work very well. Luckily (or perhaps unluckily), that's not a problem for me. Summer here's when it gets over 18C :)

18C = 64.4F :eek:

MP, what brand of GT do you have?

I normally call it summer here when the rain gets warmer:rolleyes:

I actually figured out the problem. It was very simple. There was too much dust in the HSF area. With as much air moving through that thing, I should have thought of that. I blew out the dust and it's fine now. Sorry guys. I won't be voiding my warranty today.

:p at least it's fixed.

is the system on the floor? I find that computers pick up way more dust if they are on the floor. all my systems are on a desk to at least a small shelf off the floor. I've seen things come out of computers that look like Chewbacca's cousins. :cool:

haha, it wasn't that bad. However, I did blow a few bunnies out of the interior of that thing. I know because I'm having an allergic reaction to it right now. That's what I get for fixing the problem. :p
