Recently upgraded to Outlook 2K3 as part of Office suite. Previously used Outlook 2K bundled with a PDA. Now whenever I attempt to send a link etc from IE the installer kicks in before opening Out' 2K3, event viewer points to the old Outlook or a feature of it not being found. I can't uninstall Outlook 2K as the installer for that seems to be now corrupt - is anyone aware of a good old registry hack to rid it of old pointers to the offending program, MS haven't published anything of use!

Have you tried reinstalling Outlook, and then removing it again.

You need to uninstall both Office versions.
In the Registry, do a quick visual search for all main Office keys. Look in Current_User > Software > Microsoft and Local_Machine > Software > Microsoft. Delete those keys.
Nuke the Office folder in Program Files.
Remove the uninstall string for Office 2000 in Local_Machine > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Uninstall.
Reinstall Office 2003.
