This is just stupid. I don't see any big deal about a picture of ol Saddam in his underpants.
Is this the new Abu Ghraib? I understand that the picture should never have been taken but to make a big stink about it is ridiculous.

Maybe he will recieve gifts of various types of underwear now :p

Yeah, it's not like we got a candid shot of the pope in his blessed undershorts. It's Saddam Hussein for Christs sake! On the short list of powerful men in history who we should feel no remorse for in a situation like this, he's somewhere in the middle.
And I'm with mireland...I really could have gone without seeing that.

Couldn't have said it better myself..
The Sun editor, who is equally as retarded as the Sun readers, said that we shouldnt feel sorry for him because he was a tryant. Nobody feels sorry for him, but the guy has his rights! And the pictures shouldn't have been taken let alone published.
But i can't see how America can condem it after the videos they gave to the press when he just got captured....

Hell, there are even conflicting reports on how he was actually captured. I don't tihnk it should have been released, but I can't say I'm crying for the *******.

Conflicting reports concerning which part of his capture?

I think it was some story about how in the tree in the background of his spider hole had some fruit on them that shouldn't have been on the tree at the time that he captured.
So the press speculated that he was captured earlier just only released when Americas support for the war was dwindling...
something like that...

I don't think that the pics should have been published, but I don't feel too sorry for him either. However he humiliation of ANY prisoner is just not on, especially when he'll get his day in court and be convicted regardless.
At least Ms England didn't appear in the pics with that retarded grin.
The problem as I see it is that since the Geneva Convention has now been broken a number of times by the various forces occupying Iraq, other countries might get a bit thoughtful and start breaking it as well, and who knows where that might lead.
Its going to be the soldiers just doing their job that will end up being most affected if such a thing should happen.
Not a good thing.
Has the source of the photos been named at all?
In any case, the jerk from The Sun who put together the front page title should be made to take primary school grammar again, it just makes NO sense.
I understand that its a play on the phrase 'ants in his pants' but where the hell is the inverted comma supposed to have come from?

I'd been saying that all along.
I'm just surprised that Bin Laden hasn't been taken out of hiding yet, perhaps Bush thinks he might need an excuse to invade another country and he believes that by producing Osama he can justify it post invasion.
Iran, Syria, Canada? Who knows.
What Sussein says at his trial may be interesting unless there is a media blackout (but thats not likely).

I think the inverted comma is there to show the absence of 'I' in is....
It would read "Tyrant Is in his pants"
I'm not too sure though i will have to research it (So maybe I am a dweeb :p )
zybch
05-21-2005, 09:21 AM
Shouldn't it then read "Tyrants' in his pants"?
"Dictator in Drawers" might have been a better choice.

Well it shouldn't really be a topic for discussion because the pictures shouldn't have been published in the first place!
But I have posted on another forum of even dweebier dweebs to find out :p
Wish I bought the paper to read for rubbish they wrote to accompany the pictures. What could they have written in the article.
"This is former Dictator Saddam Hussein. Former is a word for used to be. And a dictator is a very very bad person. He is in his underwear. Underwear is what people where under their clothes."
That is the sort of guff I'd expect from the Sun.

Innocent Until proven guilty.
They guy is entitled to a free and fair trial. Which IMHO he won't get!
Don't get me wrong I think the guy is a tyrant and evil like everyone else does. Just saying that innocent until proven guilty is the rule.

Evidence is overwhelming. In his case, he's guilty and the trial is only a formality.
With all the media coverage and the over 15 years of publicity Iraq has been getting since the first Gulf war, the proof is on CNN.

Doesn't mean he isn't entitled to a fair trial just like you and I are.

I'm not defending him or denying the wrong he has done. I am just saying that he is entitled to a trial. And although he has breached many people's human rights. American shouldn't lower themselves to his level and breach his human rights.
So give him a fair trial. Apply the Geneva convention to him. Give him a trial. Shoot him, then shoot the retards that write for The Sun! (That last bit.....just because :p )

Porsch, If you have a strong stomach today you can see what ol Saddam did to his own people here. This isn't a joke post so you will really see dead Iraqi's.
http://members.cox.net/free_iraq/Free_Iraq.htm
I think he should be shot, but even that is too good for him unless he is shot to death with a Red Rider BB gun. OUCH!!!

I NEVER SUPPORTED HIM!
All I am saying is that we shouldn't go down to his level and breach his human rights.
Two wrongs DON'T make a right!

I agree. Try him then shoot him. ;)
