I get a "sysdoc32 not responding" error on occasion. What is it and how can it be corrected. Sometimes it causes me to have to re-boot.

Not sure cause I'm trying out Mcaffe Office 2000 (free after rebate) but I think its the Norton sys doctor exe file. Try reinstalling norton. You may have installed something that shares a dll with norton.
First if your using win98 run file system checker to see which file, if any, is corrupted. [also it wouldnt hurt to hit run, type syscheck, hit enter to see if any lines in config.sys or autoexec.bat are remmed out.]
Like I said I took norton off so this may not be accurate.

syscheck? Not here on my Run.

You mean (I think) 'sysedit' to bring up System Configuration Editor; 'sfc' for System File Checker..

It very well could be a Norton thing, I don't have sysdoc32 on my machine and neither do I have NU (removed mine also!)

You were correct in thinking that it is Norton Utility's System Doctors Exe file. It is a 18K file. I would run the SFC program and check to see if you have any corrupted files. If all else fails uninstall Norton Utilitys and then reboot and then reinstall. Should take care of your problems

Opps, my bad, it is sysedit. Studying too hard, brain tired...just found a newer version of syscheck...got em mixed up.
Hey, I tried to get the newest ctbios.exe and it came out in German. (Is the author German? maybe) Where can I get the newest one in English?
