I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF I CAN INSTALL A DVD PIONEER X6 MODEL 103S WITH AN AGP INTEL 740I 8Mb RAM WITHOUT A DECOMPRESSION CARD.

Yes, decoder cards only speed things up, if you have a good Video Card/CPU, it can decode DVD's with good framerates for you.
