I get this message when my new computer boots up. Bios for HPT366 host adapter not installed. This is a new motherboard. thanks for any help.

Big Daddy 09-17-1999, 10:32 AM I also have the ABit BE6 motherboard and found that if you don't use the onboard controller ide-2 for Ultra ATA 66 devices such as an Ultra ATA/DMA 66 hard drive you will get that message.. If you are using an ATA/DMA 33 or older hard drive don't worry about it all it is telling you is that no new devices using the new technolgy are found, therefore the bios for those devices isn't loaded..this does not affect your system performance...
