Yes i was wondering about all the help files each program has and windows help files. Do the programs actucally need them to run? Can i delte them without any problems? Because i don't use them.

I just moved them from C: to the D: then if I actually did have some limited use for them. I can just browse for the path.

As long as you do not hit F1 for context help in an application you should be OK (if you do hit F1 the application will auto start its help file).

You can always delete the *.FTS files. These are "free text search files". They are created when you choose the "Search For" tab of a help dialog.

The old *.CNT files are ASCII files listing the index for the helpfile. Don't delete them if you actually use the files.

The new compiled help files (*.chi,*.chm) I wouldn't mess around with at all. Leave them where they are.

Btw, if you'd actually learn to use the files you would see that they can be helpful.
