I'm stumped. I swapped cpu's in second pc and it won't let me in to cmos. Powered up and down several times. No help. Changed jumper for cmos 5-6 times. Put old cpu back in, it allowed me in to cmos. So I changed "soft bios" and let it start to boot, after setting to a 300A, shut it down and swapped cpu again. Still won't tells me celey 300A is a MMX 98? Went to ABITs site no manual. It can't be this difficult right? What am I missing here?

With you saying that its a BX6 and NOT a BX6-2 I will ask have you updated your bios? as there was a bios update that allowed the board to recognize the celeron chip for what it was.

Its in my son's pc and I doubt it's the most current bios. I'll uh try (nervously) that. I thought of that but just assumed it would take a celery. Thanks!
