I have an old batch file that I used to run under Win9x to repair the registry. I haven't tried to run it under XPPro. Will it run under XP and do the same thing or is this an OS killer?

RavenStandsAlone 05-13-2005, 05:47 PM Thanks. I think I will try it out on a backup machine first though. Raven tantone 05-16-2005, 10:35 AM Batch files in general run fine. But the part I'd be nervous about is the registry. 98 and XP are different enought that it may do more harm than good. fishybawb 05-16-2005, 12:05 PM Yeah, I'd at least open up the batch file first to see what keys it's modifying - check that they exist manually using regedit.
