Still tryihg to find the cheapest solution for having 2 lans (that should not see each other) talking through a single "server" that is on the Internet thru (dial-up) ISDN. If I use two NICs and static IPs with different ranges, can I still let all machines on both LANs use ICS for the Internet?

I never tried it but it might work.
Use one NIC in the server and connect it to a switch. Plug the first network computers to the Switch and use ICS for sharing. Plug to the switch a Cable/DSL Router using the Routers Wan port, the Router will be like the other computers on the first Network and it will the Wan signal through ICS. Connect the second network to the Router’s switch using the Router’s DHCP and NAT.
