I have a PII 300 with 160 megs of SDRAM, but whenever I try to print something, the computer becomes unbearably slow, to the point that I have to do something else until it finishes. I have all the updated drivers, and I even bought an expensive printer cable, but nothing seems to work. Someone told me that the problem might be my video card. I have an ATI Expert @ Play, and I was thinking about buying an expensive card as a last resort. Any help or suggestions?

It would help if you mentioned the printer, like what type is it? Who makes it? Have you updated the drivers? What OS?

These are all little things that make it easier on us that field the questions. No slam intended, just an FYI type thing.

Just from what you have put up, it sounds like you have a Windows only printer. These printers have no CPU and share the one in your computer. Hence the slow down.

I can't really tell though, until you post more info pertaining directly to the problem.
