I partitioned my harddrive but when I removed the partitions I could not return to the original size of my harddrive.
the size of my harddrive was 12.03 but after I had removed the partitions it became 3.3. how can this be seeing that I had removed the partitions and that I should be having a whole harddrive?
How can I get my whole harddrive back?

Some motherboards either don't support hard drives bigger than 2 gigs, require a special driver (like the one all Western Digital drives come with, called EZ-drive I think), or require a little tweeking in the BIOS. Chances are, when you removed the partitions, you also removed that EZ-drive program that allowed your BIOS to access the rest of the drive.
Go into the BIOS on bootup (the screen that counts up the RAM memory should give instructions like "Press DEL to enter Setup".) Once there, you should be able to go to the hard drive configurations, and change the Type to LBA (Logical Block Addressing). Save the changes and Reboot.
