Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : CD audio cables
I just installed a new CDRW into my computer, which seems to work fine. The problem is that my sound card (built in on the motherboard) has only one CD input, and no auxiliary inputs. What do I do? Leave the CDRW's audio cable disconnected? Do a little splicing? Any ideas would be appreciated... Thanks.
The only thing the cdaudo cable for is to play audio cd's.It doesn't have any affect on games etc. Just put the cd's in the other drive when you want to listen to them.
But what if I was making an audio CD? Would I need that cable hooked up? Thanks for the info...

no, you dont need the audio cable to make an audio cd - the cd recorder reads and records the digital information directly from the cd without "playing" the cd.
Great, that's what I wanted to hear. Thank you.
