problem with motherboard booting!

Few month ago, I brought a new motherboard, is intel bx2 series and install it with celeron 400Mhz. It was working fine but somehow for working for some week, my pc start giving me problem, sometme it will hang
somewhere in the middle of work and sometime when starting to boot my pc, it will not respond, no beep sound and I could see no power flowing to my motherboard, because the cpu fan is not running.
I had try removing all cards, just leaving the video card alone and try to run it but still no respond, but when I remove the card and placed it again, surprisingly it work, I was quite relieved with it but not till the next day when I switch on again, it give the same problem again, so I really need ur help and pls tell why is it so? thank a million!!!

it may be your power supply, not your motherboard...but test both individually with a different motherboard or diff power supply, borrow them from somewhere, or go find an old 486 system and take power supply out of it and try it..

Or possibly the power switch. I've got one that acts up, similar symptoms. Sometimes turn on & all external lights fine, monitor powers up, but nothing internal. Never caused problem after powered up, though.

Definately switch on mine, have tested w. another. Haven't yet found switch to fit case properly, no big deal since I know just to cycle switch if no post screeen.

Anyway, check all your power connections, too. It's easy to "nudge" something while installing MB, and it may have taken a while to get loose enough to cause poor connection.
