A Attorney firm uses Baven Collections with Ghost fill for their data storage. The guy that wrote the Baven program is gone. Existing PC's using the program work well. I installed Bavin on a new PC now and no problem. On running it it ask me for a license to continue. That I can not get. How can I get that serial number from one of the working machines.

Have the attorneys ask the guy that is gone. This sounds like a licensing issue that they need to address.
BTW: what is a Bavin collection?

The Baven collection is just a program they use. I agree that the problem is with the licensing. The guy that wrote the program is GONE (Cannot be found). What I had in mind is maybe a utility that you can run on a PC that ask you for a installed program on the PC and then this clever utility returns the program's license number from the registry. I will then run this utility on a PC where the program is currently running and get the license to install the Baven Collection on a new PC. Easy as that. Where do I get that utility.
Thanks.

Running mulitple PCs would be against the license whether the guy is gone or just can't be found.
