To make my computer y2k compliant I downloaded a new bios from the manufacturer and falshed my bios. The problem is that my computer will no longer boot into windows, all I get is a "Warning:Windows has detected a registry/configuration error" and wont boot. What is the problem and what do I do to resolve the problem? Does the problem lie within the new bios settings, I have reflashed to install old bios and I still have the same problem. Confused and Frustrated. Specs:Pine PT-7502 Motherboard, i430VX Chipset, 120 Mhz Pentium, 80MB Ram.
Thanks for your help.

Tap the F8 key on boot up, select command prompt only, then type in "scanreg /fix" (without quotes of course). This will install an older version of the registry, and hopefully fix the problem. You can do this quite a few times if you have to, in order to get a registry that works.
