Looks very much like it. Trade it in for another ASAP. But before you do, check and see if it's the RAM. Try a stick for a friends computer or something.

sounds to me like the battery on the motherboard is dead, put a new battery in then see what happens

I just bought a MSI 6163 pro and i alway get a check sum error - loading defaults no matter what setting i modify in the bios after the second or third boot it loads the defaults . Also the hardware monitor does not load all the time and the temp sensor are giving bad reading like 169F as soon as i start from a cold boot is this mother board screwed ???

I replaced the cmos battery with the old one out of my old board and stll a no go i added two more 64mb pc 100 memory still bad its a shame too i had my 350 up to 440 too , oh well have a new board on the way , Thanks for the help usualy i get no responce when i post a question .
