Hi,
I"m using MsWord from Office 97. For some obscure reason, everytime i use the TAB key, i get a apostrophe. When cliking in Print Prewiew this apostrophe appears there fore it prints out. Even is i select Nonprinting caracter, I get an arrow + the apostrophe. The arrow do not print but the apostrophe do. I did delete the normal.dot but the problem still exist. I check the cursor, i'm using a 3button logictek mouse but there nothing abnormal there. Anyone can suggest anything for fix this problem. Presently I don't have the software to re-install it.

Thanks

Thanks, I try that, and unfortunately those apsotrophe remain. I wonder if this has to do more with Win95 than MsWord. But when opening the same document on anohter computer tabs are ok. Any more suggestion.

check to see that all the pins on the keyboard connector are ok - i mean, not bent n stuff. also, make sure the keboard wire is not frayed or tied in really tight knots or something. if the wire gets messed up, it can send wierd signals to the computer.... oh, also, try pulling out the keys and cleaning the board underneath - the tab button could be sticking to the backwards apostrophe thing above it...

This may not help you but try these tips.

When you open Word do a save as and select a name for it.( If this doesn't do it)

Try deleteing Document1.doc and this should kill any remainding macros in the system.
