"Boot Disk Failure"

The bios recognizes the HDD, but I still get the error:
"Disk boot failure"
I tried a different HDD, and get the same problem.

That could mean a lot of things. If the drives you tried are known to contain a working operating system, it is a hardware or bios configuration problem. If you don't know what is on the drives, they could be unformatted or not contain a working OS. Make sure there is not a floppy in the floppy drive, and try booting from a bootable floppy disk. You may just need to format those hard drives with something that can be booted.
