How do i do this?
My Quantum Fireball SE [6.4gb]
showed that it had 3 or maybe 4 bad clusters
on it last time i ran scandisk.
i trie to repair but no way .....
i donīt really know... is bad clusters
extremely dangerous /forum/wink.gif or what?

need to know.... and by the way
does low level formating the drive
help?

Dann,

If you hard drive is under warranty get it exchanged! if it is out of warranty the best thing to do is a THOURGH scandisk with the options checked to MARK BAD CLUSTERS. this is best done thru DOS. I usually dont recommend a "low level" format. but quantums are pretty good about using it. (ONLY use a low level format utility from the maker of your drive!)
