Is there any way to tell if memory is bad? I have a 128mb, PC-100 module. Thanks.

Probably the only way for you to tell is to install it by itself and then boot up. If it boots, it's at least good enough for that.
Enable full memory testing in the bios as that will do several memory tests which you can as it performs during bootup.
