This was planned all along - look at how tight the release dates were. They've waited long enough for sales on the consoles to stabilize and they know those hardcore GR fans with consoles will now just go get the console version, boosting their sales with no work.
If GR 3 isn't released for the PC first or at the same time as the consoles, I'm not going to even hold out a hope it will come out for the PC. I'm tired of all this. I think this may be my last gaming rig - I'm saying that more and more, but that is how I feel. Computers used to give you more for their increased cost, better games and more selection, better graphics. Now they even fail on the better graphics standpoint at times because they are falling back on such legacy **** when porting to the XBox and they know then it'll run on a PC and just add a couple lines of code to say it has this and that without really implementing it. Now it is more of a selection, but the selection is garbage. No more massive upgrades for me unless things come a changing - but MS and Sony don't want that. Sony wasnts Cell to take off, and I'm sure MS des as well so it can peddle the XBox Next with a keyboard and really own us. Time to get used to a crappy console controller I suppose. :rolleyes:

Really sad to hear. I really loved the first Ghost Recon and it's expansions.

GR is the only FPS game that i actually liked to play
i used to be a total Anti FPS game before GR.

Fear not SS... I have no doubt there will be keyboard/mouse option available for consoles... I know there are keyboards already for certain games.

U realize how disgusting that is though? The thing is, console sales are going down due to the new tech and better expandability with PC's. I mean, c'mon, when was the last time you were able to open up your PS2 and pop in a 6800 GT to boost gfx, and when was the last time you downloaded a mod for a console game to give the game more replayability? Never... that's why they are doing this, making more games only for console. If ppl don't buy the console only games anyways console makers will get the hint.

you know there are some rather .... dark methods to run PS2 and Xbox games in the PC ;)

Please enlighten us as to where you got your information about console sales going down due to the technology in PC's... Sorry to break it to you, but its completely oposite. Why do you thing this game got cancelled for the PC? Because the PC version will sell a very small fraction of what it will sell even on ONE console. I've said it before and i'll say it again, the fact that you cannot upgrade a console is NOT A BAD THING. ALL THE GAMES ARE DESIGNED TO WORK ON THAT HARDWARE!!! It is ONE of the very reasons consoles sell MANY times more units than high-end PC hardware.
That said, i'm a PC gamer first, and console gamer second, but some of the logic people use about consoles vs pc are simply flawed.
