I'm not all that fimiliar with using Digital Certificates from Certificate Authorities to setup SSL.

Here's what we need one for .... securing our Outlook Web Access. So, all we need is to setup SSL on our OWA 2003.

I checked Verisign's website -- looks like an expensive option.

Then, I checked Thawte's website -- less expensive, but many options.

Which "kind" of digital certificate is needed for SSL on an Exchange Server for OWA? I emailed Thawte, but haven't heard a word in about 7 hours now.

Thanks for the help.

It appears these are my options according to Thawte's Website for SSL:
SGC SuperCert
SSL Web Certificate
SSL123 Certificate
I'm still not clear on which to use for our specific purpose of securing OWA for use outside the agency.

Any help is appreciated. :)

You can always create a certificate server of your own and issue a certificate. It won't be trusted by default like a purchased one would be, so the users will be prompted about the security certificate and will just click Yes to continue. The users at my company are about as computer illiterate as it gets, and they whine about everything, so if they can be trained to do this to get to their webmail, any user base can be trained.
