I remember first seeign this back in 98 when it was under 3D Realms' wing and it looked like a fairly interesting little title. Have to keep an eye on it

/me shotguns a computer monitor.
/me notices that the computer monitor, having been blasted with a high powered shotgun, is still intact, displaying info, and has a 1999 style black burn mark on it.
/me opens console and types "quit".
It really had better be something at least slightly unique - the current state of the market (what with the genre saturation etc) means that bringing out another wrist-twitching fps with a hole-filled and unimaginative storyline would be suicide.
I'm not optimistic.

And i thought Duke Nukem Forever was taking forever, this game was ten years in development. Maybe when DN Forever will hit 10 then we will see it. :D

I'm actually getting rather excited about this one, not so much the game but aht they may (or may not) try and do with the engine. You see, i recently got my hands on an old tech demo from 1998 of Prey in action and they really had a remarkable physics engine in place, that would have stood up even today. Something of a blend of HL2 and Red Faction's Geo-Mod engine. However, where the Geo-Mod tech. fell flat this looked like it had potential, for example, it was possible to blow up pillars supporting celings and raze the roof down on enemies etc. Plus, give the tiem this demo was made (1998) the graphics were really something, whiel the "Portal Technology" thewy were planning to implemented sounded very clever too.
While it probably will be just another "alien shooter", if it fulfills its original technological promise it could be well worth a look
