I dont like with ati that you need to dl everything seperately. They also dont even tell you the version of the damned drivers. Such as when you buy a card it has drivers. say 6.something. when you got to ati website it says catalyst 5.3. YOu know these are newer but do these guys deliberately try to confuse us. I liked Nvidia 100x better than ati.

You dotn need to download everything seperatyley, you can if you want to, or you can just download the one package containing all driver files and control panel (or control centre - if your daft enough to want to use that)

ok.... what i mean is why when i go to my device manager and look at my video drivers it says 6.14.10.6517 while i downloaded catalyst 5.3 which says it has drivers version 8.111. The release date is the same date it says in my device manager.

Most drivers are like that, Device Manager will nearly always give you a big fat string of numbers which are completely alien to you as the driver version. As for the naming of the driver setup file, that has the full ersion number, the "Cat 5.3" which you and i know them by is a shortened, simplified verson

The Catalyst 5.4s are out already.

5= 2005
.4 = April

Make sense now?
