I'm having problems with an E-machine. Yesterday I unpluged everything(the keyboard, mouse and power cord) so I could use it to test another machine. Today I plugged everything back in and the E-machine wont turn on at all. No fans not hardisk nothing. This machine was working fine the day before, any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

You've probably already tried this, but did you check the main power switch at the back of the computer? Perhaps you nudged it into the "off" position accedentally.

I wish it was something as simple as that but no.

hi
can you check to see that power is reaching unit, somtimes when unpluging if you pull on cable and not plug a wire breaks internally and you can't see brake, check it with volt meter if you hace one.

Today I open the power supply and found the fuse blown. So I guess that is the problem. I'm going to replace it but is the motherboard blown now. I guess I'll find that out soon enough.

you may have a bent pin on one the connectors you removed and replaced during testing. After replacing fuse (with same rating!) disconnect PS from motherboard and anything else its driving. Then turn on ps , check if fuse blew again, if so make sure that the voltage select switch ,if your PS has one ,is set correct(120/240). If the switch was set correct and fuse blew , replace supply. If fuse does not blow, then plug in MB but not other devices like mouse, KB,Monitor, HD,CD-rom,floppy... Turn power on. If fuse didnt blow, start plugging in devices one at a time(with power off, then turn on) till fuse blows. This way you can find the device thats shorting the supply. I would visually check pins on everything (mouse,KB, monitor etc) before doing anything else....good luck
