I have an Amd K6-2 400 CPU with a Biostar M5ALA version 2.0 motherboard. The motherboard has the ali aladdin v chipset 1541,1543.I also have the Award legal friendly bios.I went to the award homesite to download an update for the bios and when I clicked on the download icon I was rerouted to the unicorn homesite and they want to charge me $69.95 for the upgrade??Is this true??Can I get it cheaper or better yet for free? 2nd question in the bios there is a setting in the chipset features setup that is the AT Bus clock, you can choose 2/2,2/3,2/4,2/5,2/6and a 7.16mhz setting.the default is 2/4.Could anyone explain how this effects my system and how it works. All I know is that the setting changes the bus speed in terms of a fraction of the CPU.I'm running at 100mhz right now.I can set it at 60/66/75/83/95/100.I also have 128 PC 100 sdram and a diamond monster fusion 3dfx 16mb card.I'm also having problems overclocking to 450mhz I get a fatal exception error sometimes, general protection error sometimes, and a registry error sometimes. It goes thru the memory test fine then it notices the 450mhz change then when it goes to load windows I get these errors.Sorry for writing a book.Any info would be great.By the way keep up the good work you guys this is the best site to learn alot from.you guys and girls know your stuff. Thanks ken. stppetty@enter.net
