Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : Pointing to a folder on my Server

I don't know why I have forgotten how to do this but I have!

I have a folder on my Server called Databases. The Server is called ServerStore.

If I click on My Network Places, I see the following:

- Entire Network

...and a whole list of folders that point to specific folders on the Server.

How do I add another folder there that I can point to a specific folder on the Server. Both PC's have Win XP Pro.

Think my brain is in meltdown today.

why don't you just use the UNC path?

\\servername\sharename

If I click on properties of the folders I have already set up, it shows exactly that. The folders have a networked look. i.e. they are an open folder on a pipe.

But how do I get the folder there in the first place? That is what I am asking.

huh? I'm not following. if you can see the list of folders through the network, then didn't you set up the sharing on the folder already?

Ahh what you said gave me a clue and I have fixed it now. For some reason the folder was dragged and dropped into another folder by mistake.

Thanks.
